Stora Skuggan - Thumbsucker

Thumbsucker takes its name from an ancient Hindu myth - a story of divine pregnancy, miraculous birth, and a king of gods who slit his thumb to feed a newborn with nectar. The fragrance is soft, sweet, and quietly sacred: honey, violet, and cherry over warm cedar and balsam.

An ancient king named Yuvanaswa had great wealth, good fortune and many wives. But no children. So when a magic potion was accidentally drunk by the king himself, he became pregnant. When his pregnancy came to term, Indra, King of Gods, slit his thumb - because his veins were filled with life-giving nectar instead of blood - and let the boy suck it. He proclaimed "Mandhata", and that was the name of the new king, who would conquer all of the earth. And that's why babies, born with the memory of their divine ancestors, still suck their thumbs.
