Atelier Materi - Cèdre Figalia
Cèdre Figalia is an ode to the living world — wood, sap, leaf and fruit held in a single composition. Where most cedar fragrances lean into dryness and austerity, here the wood is softened and complicated by fig in its entirety: the green, milky coolness of the leaf alongside the ripe sweetness of the fruit. The result is something that feels genuinely botanical — alive, rather than constructed.
Perfumer Céline Perdriel works with three distinct cedar varieties — Virginia for subtle elegance, Alaska for invigorating freshness, Atlas for warm enveloping depth — blending them into a base that is sturdy without heaviness. The opening is bright and aromatic: bergamot, basil and Jamaica pepper. At the heart, spinach and maté add a crisp, almost savoury vegetal quality that anchors the milky fig accord and keeps it from tipping into sweetness. The cedar base carries everything with quiet authority.
In other words... The smell of a fig tree in full sun — green and milky, with something woody underneath. Outdoors, but refined.
