Hag of the Mist is a Welsh skin and hair care brand rooted in folklore, plants and the landscape of rural Wales. Founded by Lily in Carmarthenshire, the collection brings together nourishing formulations and distinctive textures for simpler, more considered daily rituals. Its name draws on Y Wrach y Rhibyn, a figure from Welsh folklore associated with rivers, while mist evokes the waterways surrounding Lily’s home and the transformative role of water in her work.

Plant oils, botanicals, clays, milk, honey and salt sit at the heart of the formulations. These recognisable materials, many with long histories in self-care, meet modern cosmetic formulation through an attention to colour, scent and feel. Lily makes and packages everything by hand in small batches in her home studio, with natural variations in colour, texture and detailing giving each piece its own character.
