Brodēon
Brodēon takes its name from the French verb broder — to embroider — and the metaphor runs through everything the house does. Founded by Tom Hidvegi, a Hungarian-born creative with roots across France, Canada and Israel, the brand began not in a laboratory but in a kitchen: a self-taught perfumer following instinct before formal training in Florence and an apprenticeship in Paris gave that instinct a language.
Hidvegi's background in advertising and brand design is visible in the precision of his compositions — each fragrance constructed like a campaign, every note placed with intention. But the emotional register is something else entirely: personal, layered, and rooted in the idea that scent can decode feeling in ways that other art forms cannot. Each perfume is a stitch in a larger sensory narrative, built to transport rather than simply to please.
At Stillroom Apothecaries, we stock Brodēon because they represent exactly the kind of independent perfumery we believe in: a singular vision, executed with craft and without compromise. Available online and in our Cardiff boutique.
